Finland's Example
In 1998 Holy Spirit inspired me to pray for God’s Army to be raised up in Finland, to every city and town and at least ten houses of prayer to be established. In 2000 I showed the vision in a big prayer conference in Tampere and we blowed the Sofar there to call this all to be fulfilled. We started the prayer from my home city Savonlinna, and in 14 other cities praying constantly for several years, till the vision came fulfilled by Hannu Hatanpää and the Logos Ministry Finland 10 years later.
God called Logos Ministries Finland later to gather 10 000 intecessors to Turku hall, so that a prayer group or at least two prayer partners from each official community would participate. They had a map of Finland on a homepage named Christ Day and every city or town would turn blue when a payer group would registrate themselves on the page. The contact information of the leader of the group was registrated too. By this they could later be in contact to the group. Eventually during one year the whole map was blue.
All 415 cities and towns were reprensented with their arms of cout in Christ Day gathering in Turku 18th of October 2008. From each place there had been formed a prayer group for their city or town.
Intercessors from the communities of Finland carrieng their flags formed a cross on the Turku hall floor. Here was the Army of God mobilized like the tribes of Israel in former times ready for the battle.
Turku hall was full of intercessors literally from every city in Finland.
Päivi Heikkilä’s book “The Lord Will Give You the City” tells about these things in Finland and is also an intercessors handbook. It’s published in 10 languages.
Cities of Finland
In 1998 in prayer Holy Spirit spoke to me strongly to raise up nation wide prayer army to pray for all the cities and towns in Finland. We started to pray for our own city Savonlinna in a prayer group and later in common prayer gatherings with all the Christian churches. During next years we started also prayer groups in 14 other cities.
We prayed constantly for the prayer army to be raised up in every city and town in our country and spread the vision in churches and through our newsletter for several years. Later God spoke to Logos Ministries Finland to gather intercessors from every community (that time all together 415) to Turku to a big Christ Day gathering of 10 000. This happened in 2008. Their model was the Christ Day organized in Switzerland earlier by Hanspeter Nuesch.
Christ Day’s example of nation wide city prayer army has encouraged also other European countries. In 2006 I wrote a book “The Lord Will Give You the City” which is now published in 10 languages (see more at the Publications page). After this I was invited to several countries in Europe to share the vision and to teach on intercessory prayer for cities.
Left picture is from the local newspaper in Savonlinna, head line “Crown over the City”. The Northern lights draw one day this on the sky above our city, after we had continued to pray the crown of Jesus to come over Savonlinna. This was one of the many signs the Lord gave us in those years we prayed with the Christian churches and in a small spiritual warfare prayer group.
Cities of Estonia
The vision for a city prayer army initiated in Estonia when Healing Rooms Estonia invited me to speak in their national conference in Tallinn in 2013. The subject of the conference was spiritual warfare and there i mentioned shortly about the city prayer army.

Later I shared the vision of a national city prayer army also at the Haapsalu Frichurch.
My book “The Lord will give you the City” was published in Estonian in 2014 and was went through chapter by chapter at the Estonian Christian Radio station.
Cities of Denmark
The national prayer network Bedehus Danmark invited me first time to speak in their annual prayer week in Kolding January 2014. The biggest Christian newspaper Udfordringen wrote an article about national city prayer army and got the intercessors in Denmark to get excited about the vision.
Now the city praye army in Denmark is rising up almost spontaneously as the Holy Spirit is moving and causing the believers to start intercessory prayer for their comminity. Also the churches are coming more and more together to pray for thier city.
Cities of Norway
Filadelfia Church in Arendal invited me to speak in 5 meetings city prayer seminar in 2014. The audience was excited as the teaching gave more information how to pray for their city and encouraged to continue the prayer work they already had started. Now they have also 24/7 prayer watch in their house of prayer.
Norway’s Christian tv station, Visjon Norge, interviewed me during the same trip, so I was able to tell about the vision of starting prayer groups in all the cities and towns in the country. Let’s pray that also the churches would start coming together to pray for their community.
My book “The Lord Will Give You the City” was published in Norwegian in 2015 by YWAM Norway. They also sent a copy of it to the prayer leaders in Norway. May it be an encouragement to pray for cities!
Cities of Poland
In May 2014 I visited the Pentecostal Church in Elblag and had a possibility to tell about the national city prayer vision. It lead to an invitation to speak in the pastor’s gathering next day in Gdynia. Pastor Aleksander Baluczynski and other pastors from tricity area, Gdynia, Gdansk and Sobot, were already gathering together for their cities. 11th of November 2015 this pastors’ group invited me for an Independent day Payer Conferense to share the vision and to teach on intercessory prayer for cities. After that there has been different prayer meetings and visits in some churches.
Anna Baluczynska, pastor Aleksander’s wife, translated my book “The Lord Will Give You the City” in Polish and the Christian publishing house Szaron published it in April 2015.
Cities of Hungary
In April 2015 as I took part of the prayer gathering of Middle and Eastern Europe organized by the House of Prayer Budapest, I was allowed to share about the vision of raising up prayer for every city and town in a nation. I also had a possibility to meet the pastor and some elders of the Danube International Church in Budapest. The church is praying for their city and some of the leaders had already read my book “The Lord Will Give You the City” and gave good feedback about it.
Let’s pray that God would give to somebody’s heart to translate the book in Hungary and it to be published there. It would be great if some church or prayer movement would organize a city prayer seminar for the vision to spread in Hungary and the Holy Spirit to be able to revive the spirits of believers to be strengthened to rise up for their communities.
Cities of Ukraine
In September 2016 I got an invitation to some churches in Bolgrad, Izmail and Odessa, and to some towns and villages, one of them Tatarburani. During those 10 days I was in Ukraine, I felt a strong call from God to His Church to raise up His Army of Intercessors to every city and town. The vision of praying for their community was eagerly received everywhere I went.
In Odessa God is moving strongly with His Spirit to encourage the believers to have faith for His possibility to change the city. There are some churches in fire to work with the Holy Spirit for the change, especially pastor Feodor Gerasimov is working to help the homeless and orphans giving to them a strong call to start a new life with Lord Jesus.
August 2019 I was invited to the Messianic congregation in Kiev by Pastor, rabbi Boris Grisenko to speak on the intercessory prayer for cities. We had two meetings there for a big audience of believers.
They also publshed my book “The Lord Will Give You the City” in Russian language.
After visiting Kiev, I got an invitation from Russia to the Messianic congregations in Moscov and St.Ptersburg, but due to the corona epidemic the trip was not possible.
Cities of Austria
The Lord opened a door for me to Austria in April 2016, when Juliana Bosma, the leader of Key of David Apostolic Center, invited me for one week visit to tell about the city prayer vision. Key of David was earlier known as the Intercessors for Austria. They have a big center in Northern Austria close to city Linz alongside river Danube, the center is named House David.
The second time I visited House David in October the same year in a gathering of prayer leaders from different parts of the country. The purpose was to encourage them to spread the vision of God’s Army to every city and town in their area and to start prayer groups there in as many places as possible.

Northern Ireland Peninsula towns
In April 2017 I had joy to visit Bangor and the Peninsula area in Northern Ireland. The Lord is raising up His Prayer Army there to all the 8 sea side towns: Donaghadee as the gatekeeper, Millisle, Ballywhiskin, Ballywalter, Ballyhalbert, Portavogie, Clochey ja Portaferry. After the first visit I have been there ohter times too enjoying always to meet all the dear friends and praying together.
Several God’s servants are carrying the vision for these towns; Mansi McCambridge (left) in Donaghadee, she invited me to Ireland, pastor Josef (left) with his wife Sue at the Hope Center in Millisle, John and Carolyn Pilcher, Diana and Sam (right), they have a Christian Café in Millisle and they are gathering a prayer group to start organized strategic prayer.
